New Nintendo console coming out in 2024, says analyst

There have been rumors that the next Nintendo console is on the horizon. Many of these rumors have suggested that this console will be a direct successor to the Nintendo Switch, but if you know Nintendo you’ll know that they rarely go down the predictable route which the Nintendo Switch 2 would be. , it apparently won’t be released anytime soon, or at least that’s what a prominent industry analyst is suggesting.

The analyst in question is Piers Harding-Rolls of Ampere Analysis, who says he and his company predict the device will be released in 2024. Now I know what you’re thinking: who cares about a prediction? Well, this person and his company are paid for their predictions. In other words, it’s not just random spitting. This information would be passed on to customers. Interestingly, if true, it gives the Switch some breathing room to nab the PS2 as the best-selling console of all time.

“Ampère is currently planning for a next-generation Nintendo device to be released in 2024,” he said. “By the end of this year, Switch is expected to have sold 146 million units, which means it still has the potential to become the best-selling console of all time by the end of its lifespan. selling over 158 million units and surpassing the PlayStation 2.”

It goes without saying, don’t take this as a confirmed window because it’s not that. It is a prediction. It’s an educated prediction, but that’s about it. That said, it seems accurate, but if the current microchip crisis isn’t resolved by 2024, there’s a good chance that date will be pushed back later.
