The Counter-Strike DS port is amazing

If you’ve always wanted to experience Counter-Strike on the go, you don’t need to wait for Steam Deck to arrive. Get out your old Nintendo DS, because the game programmer Fownity managed to bring Counter-Strike to Nintendo’s beloved handheld.

Dubbed “work in progress” by Fewnity, Valve’s smart, fan-made version of the classic uses the DS touchscreen surprisingly well.

Allowing players to purchase their weapons on the lower touchscreen, the explosive action takes place above.

Fewnity has been working on this project for some time, with initial previews appearing as early as February 2021.

During the year, the budding game developer implemented several features such as rumble, better weapon management and even cross play on the same server, with the PlayStation Vita.

Currently, the alpha version of the game includes a preview of the single player mode. Multiplayer is expected to be included in the future, which is sure to be an impressive sight to see.

Players can jump right in and download the Nintendo DS Creation Fewnity Alpha now.
